Turkey Kebab (G,D,R,A)

An enjoyable kebab made with mince turkey rather than mince beef. Simple and quick to made with little effort required to monitor the food while it cooks.


Ingredients:
– 400g Mince Turkey
– 80g Spring Onion
– 3 large tbsp Turmeric
– 2 tbsp Sumac (+ more for serving)
– 4 large tsp Tomato Puree
– 2 tsp Salt
Equipment:
– Chopping Board
– Sharp Knife
– Mixing Bowl
– Oven


Total time Estimate:

Preparing – 5-7 mins

Cooking – 30-35 (depending on thickness of kebab)


Instructions

Pre-requisites:
– Pre-heat oven to 170 C

1) Chop spring onions into very small pieces

2) Mix mince turkey, spring onions, turmeric, tomato puree and sumac thoroughly in a mixing bowl

3) Empty mixture into a baking tray and spread to an even thickness

4) Place in the center of a pre-heated oven (170C) – Cooking for 30-45 mins. 1 – 2 cm = 30-35 mins cooking time

Note: Cooking time needs to be adjusted depending on thickness

5) Sprinkle more sumac onto the kebab once cooked.

6) Cut into kebab strips and server with rice
