Gluten Free Dairy Free Red Meat Free Turkey Burgers!
Low Acid Rating
These gluten free turkey burgers are not too difficult to make however they do take a little bit of time the first few times you cook them. They also require a fair bit of washing up afterwards so I have given them an Amber rating.
Ingredients:
– 400g Mince Turkey
– Spring Onion
– 1 Garlic Clove – Crushed
– 1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
– 1 Table Spoon Basil
– 1 Tablespoon Parsley
– 2 tea spoons of tomato puree
– A pinch of salt and black pepper
– 2 tsp chilli powder (optional)
Equipment:
– Chopping Board
– Sharp Knife
– Mixing Bowl
– Oven
– Baking Tray
– Burger Press
Total time Estimate:
Preparing – 5-7 mins
Cooking – 25 mins (depending on thickness of burgers)
Instructions
Pre-requisites:
– Pre-heat oven to 170 C
1) Chop spring onions into very small pieces
2) Mix mince turkey, spring onions, basil, parsley, tomato puree, salt and pepper into a bowl. Mix really well
3) Make burgers using a burger press and place on the baking tray.
4) Place in the center of a pre-heated oven (170C) – Cooking for 25 mins.
Note: Cooking time needs to be adjusted depending on thickness
